Samidha (Hawan Wood)

Samidha (Havan wood/ samdha) is offered to the blazing fire (Agni) in the Havan kund. Havan is a traditional Hindu practise where ghee (clarified butter), samdha (wood), Havan Samagri etc are offered to Agni Dev who is considered to be the medium through which all your offerings reach God. Havans are performed for weddings, peace, health, happiness etc.
